Description

Tredaire FR7 is a high-performance 7mm carpet underlay designed for areas where flame retardant properties and heavy contract performance are required. Made from polyurethane rebond, it is suitable for both stretch-fit and double-stick carpet installations, making it a practical choice for commercial, contract and specialist flooring projects.

With a Heavy Contract Use classification, FR7 is built to provide durability and stability in demanding environments. It has a nominal density of 145kg/m³, a nominal thickness of 7mm, and is tested to BS 5808 / BS EN 14499 standards.

FR7 also offers strong flame retardant performance. The specification includes a hot metal nut test pass, low radius of ignition effects, critical radiant flux Category 1, and a Bfl-s1 reaction to fire classification, making it suitable for projects where fire performance is an important requirement.

In addition to its contract-grade performance, Tredaire FR7 provides practical comfort and insulation benefits, with a 1.99 tog thermal resistance and 34dB impact sound reduction. It also meets low VOC emission criteria and includes green credentials such as being recyclable and containing at least 95% pre-consumer recycled material.
